DAY AND NIGHT

On the north side of the glass street is a glass wall with DAY AND NIGHT of Nina Bang (NO) located. The work covers about 60 square meters of glass wall, and the color experience changes with lighting conditions inside and outside. From the longitudinal corridors on the inside of the wall, the visible part of the image will act as abstract color forms in the glass. Close up, a detailed color illusion is experienced. DAY and NIGHT are based on studies of a platonic body in the form of a quartz crystal. The work is inspired by folk medicine's use of crystals and chakra colors, and of the mathematician Charles Henry's color scheme "Cercle cromatique".
